Who is behind Africa Tourism Connect

Africa Tourism Connect is led by Dr. Mmatšatši Ramawela, a veteran of South Africa’s travel and tourism industry with over 30 years of experience. As a respected leader and visionary, Dr. Ramawela has held influential roles, including CEO of the Tourism Business Council of South Africa and serving on various national and international tourism boards. Her extensive career includes organizing major industry events like the Hospitality Investment Conference Africa (HICA) and the South African Travel and Tourism Summit (SATTIC). Dr. Ramawela’s leadership has earned her recognition both locally and globally, and she continues to shape the industry through her roles in Africa Tourism Connect, Gecko Afrika Holdings, and the International Institute for Peace through Tourism. She holds a PhD in business management and a Master’s in leadership in emerging economies.

Africa Tourism Connect (ATC) is a professional destination and event management company offering comprehensive services in travel, hospitality, and tourism advisory. We specialize in designing and managing inbound and outbound travel for business, leisure, and education, while also providing full logistics support. Our event management services cover all aspects of the MICE industry, including meetings, conferences, exhibitions, and more. ATC creates exceptional MICE programs, promotes destinations, and engages a diverse range of clients, from corporates to community leaders, through innovative marketing and strategic partnerships.
